A lot of people say Gyurcsány is Orbán's controlled opposition (Orbán pays him). But I think most people say this as a joke, personally I don't believe in this theory. His party is unpopular. Many people who are anti-Orbán think Gyurcsány is an obstacle and wish he disappeared from politics and I think they're right.

Thanks, Universe! I totally see why people would start to belief that and it's not reported enough that Gyurcsany is still head o his party. Normally presure fron his own party should have kicked him out immediately.

I would argue that his scandalous quote is the exact opposite of leftist politics. Do you personally think there is some truth in him beeing Orban controlled opposition?

The Gyurcsány clan is such oligarch clan like the Orbán clan. Gyurcsány is also great and charismatic speaker like Orbán, and he can fanatize many people. Orbáns rhetoric is based on "not Gyurcsány", and Gyurcsánys rhetoric is based on "not Orbán". These both person are like Yin and Yang in the hungarian politics.
Orbán doesnt controll the opposition, but im sure there are fidesz spies in the opposition coalition.
