I doubt it's true but let's say it is true: it's foolish. It means Russia would absorb the Ukraine, which means guerrilla fighting in western Ukraine for years.

Making Zelensky or whoever is in power for Ukraine to give up the Donbas (either it's absorbed by Russia or becomes independent countries), acknowledge Crimea as part of Russia, and have the Ukrainian government accept neutrality as a buffer state between NATO and Russia is the acceptable course and pretty much what is expected.

Yes, I agree. I think the point here is Russia wouldn't like the Ukrainian statelet that remains to go ahead and join NATO anyway, being an anti Russian state and a security threat. Ideally they would like to see a puppet state, or as they say a "neutral" one. Whether that is achievable, is another story. We'll see.

There is between zero and nought chance this regime will be neutral. Not while Nuland and deep state neo cons have their military stocks on the rise.

Nuland wants Europe to give Cold War era weapons to Ukraine... the reason is to replenish those armaments.

One is working with dirty money and the other is enforcing national security when red lines were crossed. Zelensky is a very wealthy man....
