I really like fellow German colonists in Brazil. I studied a bit of German in my early teens and feel very happy to see how they are able to preserve their identity better than us Italians. My maternal grandparents settled in a Polish-dominant city and really like them.
As to the ones actually in Europe, I prefer German culture in general, but their post-war self hatred bothers me as much as it bothers the German Brazilians I know. I would not live in any of the two countries, so don't really care.
