I believe in both. Sadly, there likely is both benevolent intervention and malevolent intervention, which may be why bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to bad people and good things happen to good people and mediocre things happen to mediocre people and.... My belief is that God wound up all that is and let it flow. Unlike deists, I think that He gets involved from time to time when life takes the wrong course, and it's cool if people call me crazy, especially since being crazy keeps me from going insane.
