I have never thought in this manner but this ancestor was a German soldier in the 69th Infantry Division. He took part in the invasion of Norway and fought the Soviet hordes in Königsberg. They held out a good while against quite a large Soviet army. His body has never been recovered.

From his granddaughter............He was a part of the invasion of norway. My father was born september 1941 in Norway and was a "lebernsbornchild" with german father and norwegian mother.
