Pakistanis in Syntagma square, New Year's eve
He told me he noticed like 3-4 Pakis, one of them being in his tourist group and an executive manager in Intel, and couldn't recall a black man.Because Budapest very large number of immigrants now. They are very visible and they are everywhere, at least in Pest.

I decided to go to Budapest, although firstly planned to go to Vienna and also considered Prague. I have been twice to Vienna, but a long time ago. Now I would say that I like Budapest more, but I should visit Vienna again to make a final judgement. I like a lot of landmarks, museums, castles, bridges, beautiful Parliament, Danube, parks, zoo garden and synagogue. You can spend a lot of time in this city. Food is good, prices in restaurants and cafes are ok (similar to those in Zagreb, they seem even lower, but they usually add "service charge" 10 or 12%). Public transport is very good: there are buses, trains and metro. I think that the nightlife is also very good, but I was every night too tired to explore more. There are many expats and foreign students. Unfortunately, a lot of people don't speak English or other foreign languages, but they are mostly nice and friendly, more than I expected. Distances between landmarks are significant and city is big, so you need a lot of time to visit all of them. Weather was very changeable when I was there, so I couldn't use my time as I wished.
I want to visit other places in Hungary soon and spend the rest of my forints

I wonder how long will it take those Ukrainians to learn Hungarian, I would most probably move to Prague or Warsaw being Ukrainian.
You see the thing with immigration, we've been raised in such an untouched countries by immigration that for us it's a huge hit when we see several of them in our city. This will change alot in upcomming years because everyone from west will want to move to Central-Europe. The economy is getting stronger and stronger. If we go to west we don't really notice the migrants so much because it's like an integral part of the country and even the white folks from other countries we would most likealy assume to be locals.
Nevertheless what is true that Ukrainians in Bratislava are extremely noticable and this was even before this new war. Especially around 2018, so 4 years after Majdan I've seen alot of people from this country.
Last summer, if I ever took a public transportation there have been Ukrainian people, lol. The women also dress much better and sofisiticated then Slovak women, which make the standout. And the older women have this distinct slavic look that is not that common among Western Slovaks.

Doesn't sound like something I'd ever wanted to visit, let alone to live in. The photos from your island painted a much better picture.
I am used to semi-rural area with no nightlife, no immigrants and no things like that. All while being relatively close to the metropolis.
