There is some cultural overlap, but since that is not my ethnicity, I would consider using that image inappropriate like it would also be inappropriate for me to dress up in my relatives specific Saami clothes, since I wasn’t brought up in that community.

As exciting as Toltequity is, others adopting some Mesoamerican practices (like the various dreamings) without first even understanding the meaning of non-dual worldview could potentially become quite dangerous and self-destructive.

In my culture, the 'energetic double' plays a major role in understanding energy.

I suppose Victor Sanchez has been accused of being “New Age” (I haven’t read his books) but nevertheless, at a glance, it seems that he has done his groundwork and presents the topics in a way Western audience might understand.

I understand that. The Andean peoples are culturally and ethnically very close to the Mesoamerican peoples, but I would feel distant from them.

    Totally.
In Ancient Mexico, Mesoamerica/Anawak, a philosophical, scientific and spiritual proposal was developed aiming to explain who we are, how we came to exist and what is our purpose in life. Its name in nawatl is Toltekayotl, "Toltequity"; translated as "the art of living".

I don't know Victor Sanchez. Didn't you mean Carlos Castaneda?

He was educated by a Shaman of the Yaqui tribe with power plants or psychoactive plants, and he narrates his experiences.

He captured part of the nahualica/shamanic teachings in his books. His books are very good, his books have allegories and practices to control dreams.

I had just glanced the chapter “Ego vs. Energetic Body” & at least the start of it it sounded like a good introduction:

I didn't know him. If you were inspired by Carlos Castaneda, I suppose he has interesting things to say.

I won't judge him without knowing his books, but his books look interesting.

My avatar means nothing. I just like to have a wolf in there. I used to display avatars of famous females (women that I like), but some users misinterpreted it as me being effeminate (which I am not), so I stop putting them in my avatar.

My user name refers to the location of my native country (Venezuela) in northern south America.

My nick is not supposed to mean anything, it was just a nickname that is coincidentally a forename that came to my mind.

My current avatar is a part of a painting of Gustave Caillebotte, and my signature is also his art. He's my favourite painter perhaps.

Kirill Mazur is the main character in the (entertainment) books by Alexander Bushkov.
Naval officer, diver and commando, in later books already a rear admiral. In short, Superman and a favorite of women.
    Russian of Polish origin.
In the cinema, the image was embodied by Vladimir Mashkov (on the avatar).
