Is this sort of thing happening in other countries or are the Irish the only ones being duped?

Why are so many of these refugees non-European? I never realised Ukraine was so diverse.







Also initially a lot of Irish were offering to share their homes but many have now withdrawn this offer. Anyway I think it is a bit foolhardy to offer to share your home when you haven't a clue what the people you are inviting in are like. That also goes the other way also especially if it is single women with children looking for somewhere to stay.

There is a lot of foreign looking men claiming to be Ukrainian refugees when if they were really Ukrainian they wouldn't be allowed to leave the country.

They are in many ways white menas. Up to no good and not thankful at all for the help.

Hell they are even worse, they have the nerves to attack Russians here and shame Germans for not helping them enough.

If Germany was a real country we would send them all back and supply Russia with weapons.

A lot of them aren't very grateful and expect to be given all the mod cons. It will be interesting to see how this all pans out after a few months.

There are a lot of people from third world countries who studied in Ukraine for eg because it is cheap and good quality and now they have refugee status too. But at least they come from higher strata of society of their countries. Unless some of illegals that were struck in Belarus few months ago made their way into (western) Ukraine when war started and hoped on a refugee train.

Germany already is main financial sponsor of Russian agression on Ukraine and killing of Ukrainians.

I don't understand that. Why would they not go back to their own countries if they are just studying in Ukraine? It's all very odd. There are already countries starting to get overburdened with the amount of Ukrainians. It would make sense for non-nationals to go back to their own countries instead of adding to the burden that is happening in many European countries.

It's very weird here (Ohio), Grace. It's like immigrants come and go through the area, and they suddenly disappear. Several years back, it was Latinos. Then, it was people from Middle Eastern countries, and it was Chinese people after that. Now, you see a lot of Africans in the neighborhood grocery store.

I'm cool with legal immigration, but this is odd. It's like they're settled here for a while, and you never see them again. I also don't get the patterns and rhythms of the varied ethnicities coming and going, like 2014 is for Latin Americans while 2015 is for Middle Eastern people. Nothing seems right these days!

They should go home, but they got a chance to get a refugee status inside EU and many took it. But nevertheless, vast majority of refugees are ethnic Ukrainians, in great majority women and children.

That is why it is a bit odd with seeing some of these "refugees" that are men and don't look Ukrainian. Some countries are already having problems with finding accommodation. I know European Governments have been very keen to help but I think they are been unrealistic in some countries with Ireland being a prime example. There has been a longstanding housing crisis in Ireland so where are all these Ukrainians and non-Ukrainians supposed to live? Irish Government has also stated they won't put a cap on the amount arriving but they are already having issues housing these refugees and also a majority of Irish people want to see a cap set on the amount of people arriving.

This is nothing new, so many non-Europeans are flooding into Europe's flanks thanks to hijackers like these.
