6/8 - I dont have pics of the parents of my maternal grandfather, but i have pics of the rest of my Greatgrandparents

Just 7/8. The damned 2nd wife of my respective ancestor was jealous on his first deceased wife (my ancestor) and burned all pics of her!

Two great-great-great-great-grandparents'. They died in 1847 and 1848, so it will likely be daguerrotypies made in Hamburg at some time from 1842 to 1847. They had lived in Hamburg. In Germany the technique of photography first came in 1842 and it entered Germany in Hamburg, coming from London.

3 of my great grandmothers and 1 great grandfather, none of the others. I have photos of all my grand parents

Oldest photo I have is my great great grandmother. She was born 1888.
I was lucky, a Dna match had her photo. Finding church and civil records is much easier then photos. It was a blessing that a dna relative still had her photo

She was a grand daughter of one of my ancestors who was a slave owner ( unfortunately)

One of bobby capos ( the singer)decendants is my dna cousin, the woman he had that lead to my dna matches lineage is also related to me through my great great grandmother.

I do have some old things that came directly to me in original, but both these pics and some paintings were at very distant relatives that I could find out. So I copied and gathered a number of such things.

And what about your great great grandparents? Whose is the oldest photo you have?

I saw a facial picture of my great-great grandfather on my paternal grandmother's side. He was rich from London England. Also, saw all of them on my maternal side. The ones from Alsace- Lorraine were particularly nice since they were not poor immigrants either.
