I got the reverse age thing when senior girls did that to me when I was a freshman, but senior boys would never get by with that back then. Not to sound like a Boomer, but some double standards make sense.

I have a theory that a lot of people just can't spend a lot of time alone so they destructively get into relationships. I mean if that's what the question is and if you're talking about people with incel qualities but are still VERY sexually active than probably look at PUAs (pick up artists) who view women similarly but are more successful due to demonstrating different qualities/appearance changes.
Perhaps the constant between these two is two different types of narcissism.
