That map is completely nonsense and not accurate anyway. And most of these average height studies specifically are for teenagers or they mainly tested few universities and not the general population which would bring the average height down.

He means exactly what he said. For example things like the Black Plague took its time to get here, so would increase in height in europeans. So that might explain the 2cm difference in height with our neighbours according to that map.

By the way, given that you mostly post about south europeans and one of your first posts here was Classify-Spanish-tennis-player-who-looks-Mexican, what part of Scotland are you from?

A bit more than just a few. For example every portguese TA member is above 1,75m with the exception of PT Tagus if i'm not mistaken.
