Russia smears Pippi Longstocking author as Nazi in propaganda posters

Russia has launched a poster campaign in Moscow featuring ostensibly pro-Nazi quotes from the Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren, the film-maker Ingmar Bergman, and the Ikea founder Ingvar Kamprad. "We are against Nazism, but they are not," the poster reads.

Oscar Jonsson, a researcher at the Swedish Defence University, tweeted out a picture of photograph of a Moscow bus stop carrying the propaganda poster, which has the word ‘they’ written in the colours of the Swedish flag.

Latest plot twist from Moscow "We are against nazism, but they are not" with signs of Astrid Lindgren, Ingemar Bergman, Ingvar Kamprad (IKEA).

What exactly do those quotes say?

Ikea furniture is not Nazi, I can attest to this because I have a few at home and they don't usually greet me saying "Heil Hitler".

The furniture obviously isn't, but the founder had his ties. It's not really that hard, he admitted to them himself, but as it's usual, trying to sweep the most stuff under the rug.

Several long dead Swedes who supported Nazi Germany are quoted, and some private organization called "Our Victory" decided to start a witch hunt on modern Sweden.

The second picture has a vandalized poster.

"Förlåt" translates as "Sorry" in Swedish.

This is actually serious to me, Swedes are not Ukrainians.

If there will be actual National Socialists there, I want to be on good terms with them.
