My granddad, who was in the North Africa/Italy campaigns against the Germans, and fostered my interest in WWII, never told me off about it. Like something rothaer said a while ago, the further away from the event we get the more people seem to be freaked out. Now there are Nazi's under every bed, and both sides in Ukraine say they're fighting Hitler. Insane society.
Spoiler!

I have never even met a neo-Nazi in my life and it is a high time for Germans to get over that past and the associated guilt, although without forgetting what happened.
I would support the display of swastika (the sun, prosperity & good luck) symbol in Indian communities and in the teaching settings of Buddhist Centres:

Since the swastika for me symbolizes the Big Dipper rotating around the Pole Star, I don’t want to lose the symbol and it’s use either.
Nor should Mongolians give up their ‘ten thousand lives or eternity’ symbol, because some idiot in Europe misused it.

Victoria brings Nazi swastika ban forward by six months
June 21, 2022
Victoria has brought forward by six months new laws to criminalise the public display of the Nazi swastika.
The state has become the first Australian jurisdiction to ban the hate symbol after parliament passed a bill on Tuesday evening with bipartisan support.
Anyone who intentionally displays the swastika symbol could face 12 months in prison and a fine of about $22,000 when the legislation comes into effect in six months’ time.
