My relationship to Leverkusen is a toxic relationship.

It always has a on paper excellent squad beginning of the season, the officials claim we will finally get a title and everyone is optimistic

Then Leverkusen shows you love and affection they win and make you happy, they give you hope by reaching a semi final or 2nd place on the table, just to end of the season fuck you over and loose everything.

But it always gives you a little bit of hope that things will be better next season or the new transfer will be a coup, so like a beaten wife you again trust the promises of a abusive husband just to get smacked into oblivion the following season.

But I am loyal and love my club.

I know I will sound very cold and dull, but I have no specific attachment for a club per se, but rather for a type of play.

I like the Spanish Tiki-Taka's Guardiola style or more generally teams with high possession and numerous passes rather than English "box to box" or Italian ultra-defensive type

This is why I like the Barça more than Real (Barça between 2005-2015 was WITHOUT A DOUBT the best team to ever played football in history and I thank Almighty God to have been born enough before to have the privilege to watch and experience it with my own eyes) or that I like Manchester City nowadays (despite having less "soul" than Liverpool or United) or Bayern before or Arsenal under Wenger...

I've no sportsclub and would also have no relationship.

I regard these things like football completely unimportant, except maybe national teams that do (or shall) represent a country. These things are promoted to absorb the surplus of power and emotions of the common people into something harmless and meaningless. It prevents the masses from being interested in important things and thus become uncomfortable to these who rule.

If they show some scenes from club football games in the news I'd feel fooled if I'd even watch that sequences as I know exactly what is the function of that shit.
