    Yeah especially younger generation.

    But already the vast majority of Turks are only cultural Muslims, they don't practice much or only sometimes practices. But I can say that 50%,or atleast 30-40% (other 65% of the remaining 70% just consider themselves as Muslim almost all of them just cultural Muslim or they afraid to admit that they aren’t Muslim) of the younger generation don't believe.

    But I can still say that religion still has a important place for the old generation even if they don't practise Islam. For example, I cannot confess that I don't believe in my family. (and although they are not very conservative for Turkey standard)

    The more that the world turns towards secularism and modernity, the more visible, loud and at times violent religious fundamentalists become. I am ever more convinced by that.

    There are probably many more atheists and agnostics in Islamic nations than we realise, only most stay silent about it due to laws criminalising apostasy and blasphemy.

    I haven't been to Europe yet except Greece but probably pretty much same for big cities imo.
