    Default Tips on bulking?

I'm on the slimmer side and have an unusually high metabolism? Is there any way I can bulk up or gain mass without putting on too much fat? I'm still trying to carve out my abs a little bit because they started gaining shape so I wouldn't want the fat to cover them.

You can pretty much forget having "abs" if you're gonna be more muscular. I don't know how much you weigh but try a high protein diet with at least 2000+ kcal. Skinny guys who have abs are actually very low body fat and therefore their muscles are more visible. But they aren't as strong. The body fat is a must for being able to sustain a muscular physique.

    Not really true.
I understand your analogy, but you can be very strong and have abs. Having low body fat perc. doesn't mean youre weak. And there are many big guys with low fat percentage, it just means, they are working out for years.
Abs are starting to be visible even under 18%, now with perfect look would have to go much lower.

Just eat more than you burn simple as that.
If you really want to go into extremes buy bulking powder without sugar in it and drink it daily.

Or just eat for morning eggs and beef sasauge, then red meat for evening with carb side dish etc.

Having too low means you're going to be weak, both mentally and physically.

Maybe some of them have been working out for years but most have that look naturally. It's high T, HGH and low estrogen.

Yes, if you want some kind of definition they just have to be developed, but they are never going to be that bodybuilder, strange look. That's just unnatural.

Look at these guys and you'll see that they have low bodyfat % but still don't show much abs:

    Dude I workout for years.
    "Strenght" is a debatable word.
Low fat % again as Im saying which is what 15 -? Doesnt mean youre weak. Thor Bjornsson is now on that lower range, is he weak? He benches your whole family weight...
    As I said it's relative.
Having fat % bellow 9-10% will be exhausting for many males, but at the same time not for all.
Many high tier athletes are in 10-16% range which your can already have abs and they are strong physically, also bodybuilders are even less and are strong.

Also as for the photo you can't expect guys that never excercise to have progressive abs,

Dude, my family members are very muscular and masculine and have been so for generations...

Low bodyfat is below 9 %. Those skiny guys who weigh like 60 kg and are 185 cm are usually weak.
Anything around 10-20% is normal and healthy for a male.

That guy is a bodybuilder and that is not sustainable. Those guys on the pictures I showed you are naturally that masculine.
They don't need to exercise to look that way, which is different from people who live in the gym.

I wrote "at least 2000+ kcal" because I didn't know what his height and weight was...

Also, many of those bodybuilders take steroids, which is far from natural.

Cutting leads to eating disorders which a naturally masculine man wouldn't suffer from just for being muscular.

Eat more, and lift heavy, but take one or two days to rest between workouts to give your muscles time to recuperate and repair. Do weight exercises that target large muscle groups, which likely will lead to bulk (if you have the right parents).
