Yes, you should test them. It would be interesting.
On Eupedia he is now listed EV-13

I don't know where they got it from. Many people claim to be related to him such as that 'Castriota' family in Italy. I heard also possible descendants settled in Montenegro. And some in Albania claim to be related to him.

You have to test the family tree by using information pertaining to the individual. If you know their name what area they lived in or what religious institution or church or parish you can probably find records on them. Like death records, baptisms, and marriage records. More recent times they use civil records. At least for my case, im not from europe. If you're lucky you have records that go back to the 1500s that pertain to your geneology. Geneology is researching your ancestors to make your family tree.
And you have to becareful because many people on the internet dont understand how to use images of primary sources or use primary sources. So they copy pasta and some people may have wrong info. So miss information and then more trees have wrong information
A popular source for geneology is familysearch.com. some records are indexed but many will not. And its better to just find the images because some people index the information wrong anyways. Or has missing information from the index data. I am not sure what records are like for albania though. You would have to figure that out as I am not albanian nor understand albanian, written or spoken.
