I noticed Spanish people look more like Southern Germans than like Greeks.

Since I already wrote phenotypical impressions from Budapest in another thread, I'll comment other travel I took in last year only (older stuff is already bit forgotten, so I won't comment that unless something in particular interests you)

Germany: notably darker than non Europeans imagine them to be. Most are brunet central European folk, even in northern half, they aren't northern Europeans looks wise in vast majority. Most look pretty neutral and many have quite familiar looks to me (generic central Euro). what surprised me was how tall the women are, especially outside of south. I saw tons of super tall German women (1.80m+). While men looked normal to me, nothing notable in height (compared to Croats that is, meaning they are also on the taller side)

contrary to stereotype, I found German women really nice looking, and saw lot of beautiful ones, while men were ok in general (not amazing, not ugly). So I found women slightly better looking than men.

And yes I agree, there isn't drastic difference in pigmentation between southern and northern halves (most adults have various shades of brown hair)

Btw: I visited many immigrant free parts (non big cities) and I can distinguish ethnic Germans from other white foreigners.

    Here are some observations.

    1. Dutch are taller on average than the inhabitants of the Dinaric Alps, females especially.
Belgians are also tall but not as Dutch. Yet.

    2. There isn't much difference between SW Germans and Bavarians compared to other Germans in pigmentation. Some differences are more noticeable in the far north of the country than in the south.

    3. Swiss Germans and Alsatians are shorter on average than neighboring Germans.
The difference in phenotype for the area "left of the Rhine" can be visible, especially when approaching/crossing Vosges (Vogesen) mountain range within Alsace. French vibe begins. Hard to explain.

    4. The population of southern Romania as a group is visibly darker in pigmentation than Catalonians and NW Spaniards in general.
Interesting, what regions did you visit specifically for each country ?

    Average human height by country

Some of these are old studies and varies by age and not sure if it has changed since then. I already knew Dutch were tall.

Danish are taller than Swedes IMO.

Same thing I noticed in Albania.

    Austria and Slovenia:

most recently I was in Graz (southeastern Austria) and I saw lot of "woggy" shifted types among native Styrians (in dinarid and Italian direction). Styrian villages were notably lighter though.
such dinarid/med types I did not see in Germany among natives.

Slovenia (Maribor) they looked notably more Slavic/eastern than Austrians bordering them and also less dinarid actually. I saw lot of round faced Neo-Danubians that would not look out of place in Ukraine for eg. while Autrians had way more dinarids and Norids (and narrower faces, with more prominent noses, while Slovenes often had snub short noses)

Slovenes in Maribor were notably lighter than Croats (at least in my city) as well.

Very interesting, would you say Slovenes are more Slavic looking than Hungarians?

When it comes to height I noticed it varies a lot depending on the age with younger generations usually being taller. And also the crowd. When lots of teenagers or university students are out and about during night , those were the tallest people I saw in Kosovo, others were shorter or normal. Same thing in Copenhagen, the younger people very tall and lots of people 190cm or more. Sweden not so much but maybe like I said it depends on the variety of people. Sweden also has lots of immigrants, towns like Goteborg and Malmo but I visited smaller towns and even there most ethnic Swedes I saw were rather short but it's not meant as an insult and they were no shorter than Albania or Italy, and in general nice people, just thought I would see a bunch of Nordic giants but it's not like that for the most part. In Albania I was surprised how tall some of the females are. Males not so much.

No idea, it depends on region probably.

The same happened to me but then again I lived in southern Germany. As you go further north the stereotype kinda makes sense.
