I would describe the whole thing as a blatant and brazen attack on girls, who make up something like 90% of young, school-age "trans" people, which is more or less the exact opposite of the proportion for adults.

You're very right-- there are very few males involved in the trans teen phenomenon. IMO it's yet another symptom of feminism doing the exact opposite of what it claims to do. Girls rarely will naturally see themselves as victims, sex objects, or "oppressed" until feminism tells them they are. Feminists want to liberate girls from an ambiguous-- even imaginary-- "patriarchy", but they create that very system of internalized victimization in the women they claim to rescue, leading to a vicious cycle of self-justification.

Those girls are taught that manhood offers superior privileges, and they want to escape into that, just like I did.

I do, however, think there might be cause for optimism, in that the "trans" issue is so patently ridiculous, that it will provoke a massive backlash. Once this particular lie unravels, perhaps others will too.

Very true! The absurdity of the movement is gaining a lot of attention, at least here in the U.S. Ideally people will realize how their actions led up to the mass mutilation of girls and the celebration of that act. Complacency in the well-being of their own children in favor of political idolatry isn't going to end well once these kids grow up with a vengeance.

I think it's quite obvious that the whole LGBT propaganda is about to destroy biological gender differences and norms related to it (heterosexual straight married couple as the basis of family, which ensures reproduction and development of a functional society as a whole), that simply put, will lead to self-destruction of the decadent West, by demographic collapse (low birth rates and great replacement by Third World foreigners).
