Why has the "trans" issue suddenly blown up in everyone's faces?

It is because the Left in the Anglophone world, even more so than elsewhere in the West, has embraced free-market capitalism (for good and for ill), and thus has moved on to focussing on various social issues as a distraction method instead.

Think it's the left trying to get people to have less kids as possible, and destroy masculinity. They really try to push this on the white community, the black americans claims they're getting buck broken in regards to this, the worst, but they drop this bomb on us more.

The last time I posted here it was not an issue I gave a second thought to. Now it's being rammed down our throats everywhere we look. Why?

Because people are now waking up to the implications. This is specific to Scotland but other countries are bringing in these type of laws.

The Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill aims to cut the time that a person has to live in their acquired gender before they make an application from two years to three months — though they would then have to go through a mandatory three-month “reflection period” before confirming that they want to go ahead.

If passed, the law would also lower from 18 to 16 the age at which trans people can obtain the document.

Those opposed to the proposals highlighted concerns about the effect such changes could have on women’s sport, as well as on the loss of single-sex spaces, including lavatories and changing rooms in hospitals, prisons and women’s refuges.

There was a fear that “predatory males” could apply for a gender recognition certificate to allow them to “gain access” to women’s spaces. Opponents also raised concerns that young people could make “life-altering” decisions too early.

You get politicians now (because they are so pathetic and scared of offending) that they can't even define what a woman is.

A gender makes you belong to a collective that is attached to certain norms,traditions and behaviour. That goes against liberalism/individualism that erradicates all traditional conformity but you guys just notice it on the transgender issue when its just a milestone they push for, to switch the overton window further. and they will succeed, cause the libcon "opposition" is brainless.

The conservatives are fools: They whine about the decay of traditional values, yet they enthusiastically support technological progress and economic growth. Apparently it never occurs to them that you can't make rapid, drastic changes in the technology and the economy of a society without causing rapid changes in all other aspects of the society as well, and that such rapid changes inevitably break down traditional values.
