As sick as it may sound, it’s also a sign of wealth to have foreign kids as adopted children here in the states. It’s a trend among the higher class for sure.

The refugee and immigration sector is now a business model to many many people that take a great interest in keep it going and increase it with Think Tanks and NGOs, again on the expense of the local working class that has to compete with them on subsidies, rents and wages.

There is no utopia. People do what they can. After that, it is upon a person to seek help. If they want to live under a bridge, so be it. At least they know where to go for free meals every day and, if required, medical help.

Anyhow, this is outside the threads topic and a waste of my time.

Homeless people are not the only group that is in need for help, you started it by larping as samaritan by declaring you would house Ukrainian refugees for free, which logically irritates people.

Living conditions in Portugal have never been easy compared to the rest of developed Europe and I have been hearing about economic crises since I was born, this is just one more. I almost cringed reading you complaining about fuel prices in America, in Portugal currently the gallon is $8 and there is no comparison in terms of GDP per capita; and yet, the last thing people have in mind around here is to blame Ukrainians fleeing the war for their problems. Perhaps in America but not in Portugal.

The Ukrainian diaspora in Portugal has always been huge, even before the war. Most of the refugees in Portugal are staying with relatives who already lived here. And contrary to what some have said, Ukrainians don't flee to the West to live on subsidies. The vast majority are hard working people who just want to live a normal life, otherwise there wouldn't be tens of thousands of them in Portugal, where it is not easy to progress in life and much less to live exclusively on the tiny subsidies that are offered in the first place...

Incomprehensible, I know. Mental illnesses at play.

It irritates a certain type. The type that you, Grimes and other odd members fit within.

Most Angolans and Cape Verdeans in Portugal are hard-working too, yet you don't sing their praises. (I wonder why?)
