    I like my Asturian/Galician surnames. My first surname is just too long and harsh sometimes, so if I'm ever to pursue a career in music, I would probably go by my second surname.

    Funny, I once thought of FeedBasket as a moniker for another board and when asked to explain I would have jokingly said it's for French, Son of a little Basque (Fils d' Basquet, feed bah-ské ), but I quickly dropped that idea.

    En la relación, aparecen en mayúsculas en primer lugar los nombres de las tribus a las que pertenecían, y en letra normal debajo los personajes que se citan.

    Como puede verse, parece que, bien sea porque así fuese el sistema de apellidos, bien porque los romanos lo entendiesen así, se hacía constar el nombre de la persona seguido del nombre del padre (posiblemente en genitivo), añadiéndose la f de la palabra latina filius, hijo. Es de destacar que alguno de ellos (Quinto Otacilio, Cneo Cornelio y Publio Fabio) ya aparece portando nombres latinos, y uno de ellos el de Cneo, en honor de Cneo Pompeyo, el mismo imperator que les concedió los derechos.

    Hemos querido recoger aquí estos ejemplos de apellidos ya que son de los más antiguos de nuestra tierra y, además, porque es muy probable que parte de los apellidos aragoneses actuales desciendan de apellidos prerromanos que sobrevivieron a la propia romanización y latinización.
    Alguno de estos 'apellidos' aun perduran, con ligeros cambios. Increíble.
