Why is Venezuelan black admixture often underestimated or overlooked?

Sí, o sea, venezolanos predominantemente negros no son lo más común tampoco pero suelen tener algo de mezcla negra comparado con otros colectivos de la región.

Los que no, es por que son descendientes de las olas migratorias de mediados del siglo XX y suelen ser 'sifrinos' o de clase alta (en su mayoría). La población 'raizal' venezolana suele tener su grado de ascendencia afro.

Los que no muestran ninguna mezcla negra, y se ven entre mestizos claros a blancos no son solo sifrinos ricos, sino tambien montones de personas de clase media. Yo mismo no soy ningun sifrino clase alta, y ni siquiera era clase media media cuando vivia en Venezuela, sino mas bien era clase media baja, y creo, si no me equivoco, que en una ocasion has visto como luzco. Pues para que veas.

Estoy de acuerdo en que la mayoria de la poblacion "raizal" Venezolana tiene cierta mezcla Africana, pero esa mezcla en promedo no pasa de 20%.

Y los Andes Venezolanos tambien se caracterizan por su casi nula mezcla Africana, y son muy comparables con los Santanderes. Son solo 10% de la poblacion de Venezuela, pero igual, si a ese 10% le sumas los sifrinos (clase alta) y mucha gente de clase media del resto del pais que es entre harniza, castiza y blanca, mas tambien mucha gente de regiones interiores del pais como los llanos, el estado Lara, etc, que se ven netamente mestizas, etc., todo eso va sumando lo uno con lo otro, y supone un buen porcentaje de poblacion con muy poco o nada de mezcla Africana (todavia minoria, pero un buen porcentaje)

Venezuela is well over 50% Euro (perhaps between 54-56% Euro), 28-30% Amerindian, and no more than 17-20% SSA.

Y a las pruebas me remito: si toda esa negritud que se ve en las peores barriadas de Caracas, Maracay, etc fuese Venezolana, como se explica su tan alta profusion en las peores barriadas de esas ciudades, que contrasta con areas rurales interiores (no costeras) del centro norte donde la mayoria de gente normal y sencilla de esas areas no es negra, triracial oscura y griffe sino son una mezcla de gente entre triracial y mestiza en diversos grados? Si toda esa negritud de las peores barriadas Venezolanas fuese Venezolana de siempre, de donde salieron entonces? Del aire? Yo recuerdo que vi un reportaje sobre una barriada pobre de Caracas con una desproporcionado proporción de gente predominantemente negroide, y había un buen número portando camisetas de futbol de Colombia o equiposo patrocinados por POSTOBON. Por tanto, blanco y en botella.

En realidad es que colombianos y venezolanos tienen un componente negroide similar, pero mientras que los venezolanos son más homogéneos pardos trirraciales, en Colombia hay más extremos. Yo aquí en España he muchos colombianos negros cuasipuros o predominantemente negroide, mientras no he visto ningún venezolanos negro puro o claramente de predominio negroide.

Y lo que me hace pensar que en Venezuela es algo menos negroide es porque Venezuela recibió una fuerte inmigración europea que no recibió Colombia.
