How different are southern Europeans amongst themselves phenotypically?

Of course there's differences. There are differences within countries, so there's obviously differences between different countries as well.
The thought that all southern europeans look alike reminds of reading about a "mediterranean race" which stretched from Portugal to India, according to the old scriptures that are often quoted here.

Here are some portuguese people protesting against vaccines, masks, lockdown measures, etc. Are they 100% interchangeable in other southern european countries? I wouldn't think so. But i believe there's some overlap of as well.

i gotta be honest, i dont know why, but for some reason i cant find as many west asian looking south italians compared to island greeks.


i searched up for both calabria crowd pics and crete crowd pics, and somehow is was more easy for me to find west asian looking people amongst those greeks

I honestly can't tell the difference between Southern Europeans. Essentially the starkest difference seems to be between Southern and Northern Europeans.

In general you're right. But for Greece, the image you've used comes from the annual Polytechnic demonstrations, which always gather a lot of immigrants, as these demonstrations are organised by anarchists/communists who gather the former as "multiracial support against the horrors of the old 'fascist' regime". Three people on the background to the right of the image show this, as they don't look Greek.

the man on right looks like from west asia. the pale man on left looks somewhat middleeastern too, but not entirely however






i know i said significant, though mainly refering to cherry-picked minority of islanders, but i honestly would confused them for west asians in real life, if i didnt knew what their ethnicities were.

and the thing is, for some reason its harder for me to find such individuals amongst south italians, like calabrians or campanians, despite themselves being pretty shifted towards levantines themselves, though not super impossible. but significantly harder for reasons i dont know. this is why i said significantly more
