Default Kherson to become part of Russia soon

    https://tass.com/politics/1458441

Kherson region intends to accede to Russia soon, becoming its constituent, authorities say

The region will become Russia’s full-fledged territorial entity, Kirill Stremousov stressed

SIMFEROPOL, May 31. /TASS/. The authorities of the Kherson region intend to raise the issue of the region entering the Russian Federation in the near future in order for it to become Russia’s full-fledged territorial entity, Kirill Stremousov, Deputy Head of the Kherson region’s Military-Civilian Administration told TASS on Tuesday.

"The Kherson region intends to accede to the Russian Federation in the near future, becoming its full-fledged constituent," the official said.

The situation at the Donbass engagement line flared up on February 17. On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a decision to recognize the sovereignty of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. The treaties on friendship, cooperation and mutual aid were signed with their leaders. On February 22, the State Duma and the Federation Council ratified both documents and Putin signed the respective laws on the same day. Putin said in a televised address on February 24 that in response to a request by the heads of the Donbass republics he had made a decision to carry out a special military operation in order to protect people "who have been suffering from abuse and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years." The Russian leader stressed that Moscow had no plans of occupying Ukrainian territories, noting that the operation was aimed at the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine.

Kiev's officials and propagandists already excluded populace of Kherson and Zaporozhie oblasts from Ukrainians, now they're "Putin collaborant dogs", in the first month of war they tried to act like no one wants to become part of Russia there showing some meetings of 200-300 people organized by their agents. Now Ukrainian lobby in the region is totally defeated and people can breathe freely, except those living on the bordering zones and suffering from Ukrainian shellings.

Now it will be the other way around, suddenly there will never have been anyone in Kherson who has felt really Ukrainian.

Most of pro Ukrainian activists left in the first days of war, the rest left later or were arrested for various actions. Local populace actively collaborates with Russian authorities and police. Ukrainian Telegram channels became purely chauvinistic towards local populace, Kiev cut everything for them, good that this region is being rapidly integrated in Russia. My relatives are in still occupied Nikolaev, 40 km from Kherson, living under occupation and terror of army and "civil defence" made up of people from other regions. Everyone knows that people there barely differ from Kherson ones and they're gonna change sides as soon as Russia is there. None of my numerous male relatives from Nikolaev is in army, everyone hiding in other cities (two of my nephews are hiding in Transcarpathia) few others on addresses different from registration address.

It was always a bunch of ideologically active and correct minority in Kherson which was pro Ukrainian. Holding media, threatening all kind of Russian activity in cooperation with police and various paramilitary organisations which were used for different political actions, political terror and actions of industrial/business raiding, stealing the property and business from targeted people. It was one of main objectives of Azov's existence out of war time, raiding the business of "wrong' people and protecting the "proper" ones.

They would try to homogenize the country by repressing any feeling of belonging to Russia, now it will be the other way around. Or not, because few in the Russian-controlled areas will dare to point out as pro-Ukrainian, and most will have simply fled.

Do you think that if the Ukrainian government had been more friendly towards the pro-Russian population and would have avoided using militias with extremist ideology as an auxiliary arm of the government, Russia would not have invaded Ukraine?

And what percentage of the population according to your relatives would feel Ukrainian in Kherson before the war?

Thanks to Loki, few or no Ukrainians are members here any more. Now all we have is the word of Russians and their lackies.
Nine out of ten concerns are completely unfounded.

Neutral federalized Ukraine with every region speaking the language it wants and hailing the heroes it wants would live. This Ukraine is built on denying and hate.
