N.B. To clarify to anybody reading: I am not a "transphobe". How people choose to identify and live their lives is ultimately their own business. Nevertheless, when women's safety is potentially compromised (toilets, prisons, refuges etc), as is the integrity of all-women's sports competitions, and above all else basic science itself is discarded in favour of fantasy, that is where a line has to be drawn.

I find it very practical. As long as anybody today can claim 'I'm a woman' without being a real woman, it's a practical way to distinguish real women of other kind of women.
