Well, forget about borders cus 'Afghan' term doesnt respond a nation. I assume you know enough information about ethnic structure of Afghanistan. To not feel you belong to your country or not feeling responsible of defending borders of homeland doesnt mean you can leave your unprotected family members behind to the mercy of medieval barbaric zealots and flee to Turkey. The feel of belonging and protecting your family is not the same thing.

I assume we talk about 2022 not 1979 here even if we will i want you to remind war in Afghanistan have always been fought between internal factions wether ethnic or religious. Current Taliban thing is also a result of desire of assertion of dominance of Pashto's over other ethnicities.
