It's relevant since France and Spain invaded Portugal because Napoleon wanted Portugal to block its ports to England. So Spain took some portuguese cities (including Olivença). Later France decided to invade Spain as well and started the Peninsular War. When the Peninsular War was over, Spain didn't give Olivença back.
That's very different from taking Gibraltar during the Russian-Ukranian war.
I'm not leonese but Olivença had been portuguese for more than 500 years when it was stolen, regardless of who founded it.
