I have been thinking what if the matters would really go beyond peoples worst imaginations, not necessarily about a nuclear war but that their nations crumble in natural and man-made disasters, true patriots assassinated, vilified, persecuted, exiled, people devided, more lies put into the textbooks from elementary schools to colleges; children traded, exploited, social disparity ever larger and larger, medical welfare sabotaged, more black organ markets, drugs and water more expensive, basic foods a rarity, more new diseases, dysfunctional GMOs, illegal drugs, pandemics, epidemics, regional wars, civil wars, pollutions, corruptions, governments usurped, everything just gets worse and worse. How would you face the reality then? what means to be done? So I called it as the Age of Khaos and khaos is our common modern heritage. What is chaos, a spiritual war.

She added that he is the man "who broke the Bank of England" and who is regarded by some "as an economic war criminal," referring to his bet against the pound in 1992 and other controversial market plays. Irani said the Modi government was laying a foundation for the country and a stronger economy, pointing to welfare programs including efforts to ensure food security for 800 million people. She also hailed India's role as a "pharmacy to the world" during the COVID-19 pandemic.

UN Security Council denounces Israel

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The U.N. Security Council issued a formal statement on Monday denouncing Israel's plan to expand settlements on occupied Palestinian territory, the first action the United States has allowed the body to take against its ally Israel in six years. In December 2016 U.S. President Barack Obama's administration abstained on a Security Council vote, allowing the body to adopt a resolution that demanded Israel stop building settlements. Washington's support for the presidential statement - action the 15-member council has to agree by consensus - came after the United Arab Emirates said it would not put a stronger draft resolution on the issue to a vote, a move that could have prompted a U.S. veto. "The Security Council reiterates that continuing Israeli settlement activities are dangerously imperiling the viability of the two-State solution based on the 1967 lines," the council said in the statement. "The Security Council expresses deep concern and dismay with Israel's announcement on February 12." Israel's religious-nationalist coalition government on Feb. 12 granted retroactive authorisation to nine settler outposts that had been erected without government approval, angering the Palestinians, who want the West Bank for a future state. U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, told the Security Council that the United States opposes Israel's Feb. 12 settlement plans. "These unilateral measures exacerbate tensions. They harm trust between the parties. They undermine the prospects for a negotiated two state solution. The United States does not support these actions full stop," she said. Thomas-Greenfield described the presidential statement as "real diplomacy at work" that shows how seriously the council "takes these threats to peace," adding: "The United States joined other members of this council in asking both Israelis and Palestinians to take the urgent and necessary steps to restore calm and improve the quality of life for their people." Most world powers view as illegal the settlements Israel has built on land it captured in a 1967 war with Arab powers. Israel disputes that and cites biblical, historical and political links to the West Bank, as well as security interests.

​Can positive thinking prolong your life? Science says yes. Scientists have known for quite a while that people with strong ties to friends and family tend to live long. A team from Brigham Young University looked at results from 148 studies dating back to 1900 that investigated whether solid relationships are a lifesaver. All told, a satisfying social life was as beneficial for long-term survival as quitting smoking, and may be even more crucial than exercise and overcoming obesity.

In Japan, the elderly are revered, unlike in the West, where they're regarded as a burden.

Becca Levy, a professor of epidemiology and psychology at Yale University, has found that adults in their 30s and 40s who had positive notions about old age—they equated it with wisdom, for example, instead of decrepitude—were more likely to be in good health decades later. In another study, she showed that people 50 and older who had optimistic views of aging were much better able to perform everyday tasks over their next 18 years—activities like shoveling snow and walking a half-mile—than peers who regarded old age bleakly. Older people who had positive age beliefs at the start of one of Levy’s studies were also much more likely to fully regain function after a new disabling injury.
