I was in my school anime club pre-COVID . Great memories, aside from the annual addition of a Persian hentai addict (every single 14-16 year old Persian guy I would meet is addicted to hentai... from central Iran though). My university had anime club but it was entirely online and the COVID restrictions were horrendous since we were often in lockdown for up to 2 months...
I have been told I resemble Tomie, and my hair is cut like hers at the moment. I selected a feminine icon (normally prefer edgy masculine ones) since many users here were convinced I was a guy T_T
I prefer Souichi (and his personality is identical to mine). I have read everything by Itou... my favorite story would be the Lovesick Dead / Intersection Pretty Boy. I also love "Window Next Door."

If you like Itou, you should give Kazuo Umezz a try, as the mangaka who inspired Itou. I think my favorite Itou stories are Glycerine and Hellstar Remina… maybe some runner ups would be the ones where the fish grew legs and attacked and the human chair.

Identity V has a great Itou crossover. It was nice to see some characters brought to life.

From all the goth movies I enjoy watching, I will admit many characters look Atlantid... Atlantids can have that "dark" atmosphere with the white skin, sharpness, dark features otherwise

Edgar Allan Poe (numerous short stories that I like... in terms of movies, House of Usher 1960 & I loved this cartoon Ruby Gloom), Anne Rice (favorite book is Blackwood Farm), and “gothic fiction” books (in general, read some Bram Stoker, Stevenson stories over the years)
For games: American McGee’s Alice & sequel Madness Returns, Layers of Fear (would love if artwork fetishist)
I enjoy Tim Burton movies too... I prefer the 90s Dark Shadows soap opera to the 2012 remake. Some of it kind of ripped off Siouxsie Sioux hahaaaa
Numerous artists I venerate though some I merely like few works. I like Delacroix, Goya, Arnold Bocklin, vanitas still lives in general, Evelyn De Morgan, Rossetti... pre-Raphaelite artists sometimes made some rather dark depictions as did symbolist painters; latter was a bit too “ethereal” or “shiny” in some cases to be existential or occult-leaning darkness
I love Christian Death, Type O Negative, this obscure band “Ghosting,” Malice Mizer (Tetsu era sounded super goth and kind of existential)
