My mtDNA is hg. HV1b2. And mtDNA hg. HV is very native to Kurdistan. It was part of the ancient Aryan Mitanni people, but also the Guto-Medes and later the Parthians. It is a very rare mtDNA. MtDNA hg. HV1b2 was found in a ROYAL Egyptian mummy (Nefertiti ?). I think that some mtDNA hg. HV1b2 arrived in the Eastern Europe with the Babylonian Jews who were captive in Babylon but who later were liberated by the Parthians.

Both, my Y-DNA and mtDNA are very unique, lol.

Well shit, as someone born in Nuuk I'll be your family
I've had the full mitochondrial sequencing done at FTDNA and have uploaded to yfull and it is pretty widespread. There is even someone from Mongolia on here. There is only one Irish flag on this and it is myself.

This is only a portion of that tree but shows my results. The ones in peach are ancient and the green current people.

I didn’t know about this site. Interesting, thanks. There are English as well as Dutch and Danish flags for mine, H27. My female line goes back to East Anglia, so that would make sense with the past immigration/invasions into this area from these populations.

I’ve also had my MTDNA fully sequenced with FTDNA, and that shows H27 with minor differences spreading from across Northern Europe and Scandinavia, including a lot of results in Finland.

This all matches my heat map pretty well, especially with the intensity increased a bit.

    Nice link, thanks 😊

My dad's MTDNA is V4, and too rare. Even at maximum intensity it shows nothing on the map.

I still have to do a big mtDNA test to determine to what type of HV1b2 I belong. 23andMe doesn't give me a complete picture.

I know that some ethnic Jews are interested in my mtDNA haplogroup and when I know more about it I will let you guys know.

But at this moment I am more interested in my Y-DNA R1a*, so I will do a big Y-DNA test first. Don't know when. At this moment I have other more important things to do.
