Default How tensions grew between Mao's China and Khrushchev's Soviet Union

Very interesting and good background knowledge of history of the formation of modern China and its relationship with Russia.

I think presently in 2022, relations between Russia and China are much better than it was during the Cold War. Sounds bizarre but it's true. Putin has done a lot diplomatically over the last few decades to win back the trust of China, that was lost after Stalin. And now they can relate more as equals than in the past.

The new generation of young Chinese can also relate to Russia without the emotional baggage of their parents, who felt betrayed by the Soviet Union. Now, these Chinese see American arrogance on the world stage and see that an alliance with Russia is the best answer to that -- and they also see that Russia is more trustworthy and honest than America, which is always full of propaganda and political lies and intrigue, and ruthlessness. Sanctions are a definite turn-off for just about everyone except the US and Europe.
