Default Why does Scandinavia lack "swarthy types" unlike Britain?

Although the British Isles belong to one of the lightest regions in Europe, they still have a decent amount of darker, sometimes even swarthy outliers where nobody would bat an eyelid.
Examples in the celeb world are Rowan Atkinson, Sean Connery, John Rhys-Davies, Catherine Zeta Jones etc.

What is the reason why you can't find a lot of these types in Denmark, Norway and Sweden?

Not true. Swarthy types are a rarity in Britain and it's a little harsh to call them "swarthy".

The English and the Scandinavians are almost genetically indistinguishable, and it shows in phenotype.

Because Scandinavia has been hitherto much more isolated than Britain from the rest of (particularly Mediterranean) Europe. Also, Paleolithic Brits were mostly dark-haired (but often with light eyes and pinky skin).

It doesn't lack them, they are just in much lower frequency than in Britain. Not a single European country lacks native swarthy types.

I don't think swarthy Brits are that uncommon, especially swarthy English and Welsh, i was in Sussex recently and noticed the amount of people with quite a orangey complexion despite quite clearly British facial features, you have Nigel Havers Kate and Pippa Middleton, Colleen Rooney, Bear Grylls Richard Dawkins It seems that at least 10-20% have a non pale complexion and is probably linked to French and Belgian influences.
