Considering how rare it is in adult hood (in child hood not so much,), it seems at least one parent has to have exactly that colour and the other parent is preferable at least light haired (reddish tone, dark blonde etc.) if not the chances shrink already very much- so its better to have two platinum blonde parents and yet there will be a probability for a different tone as well

Yeah i think that is the case, many medium blonde people often have brunet parents.

It does offer a benefit of being salivated over by the likes of Cristiano viejo (only if Spanish though!) or Oliver109

[QUOTE=Oliver109;7535778]This may sound like a question that has probably been asked on here before but it is curious that while blonde hair is fairly common across much of northern and eastern Europe genuinely light shades are quite rare outside certain areas like parts of Sweden, northern Netherlands, Denmark and Norway. This is the type of hair i am referring to:

Blond hair is a recessive trait and hair naturally darkens as one gets older. Thus in order for it to be common in a population, there needs a greater pool of blond genes. This is why adults with naturally light blond hair are most common in Northern Europe particularly in Estonia, Finland and Scandinavian countries.

It's weird because it almost reminds you of the colour white. My mother's best friend's daughter who was blonde with grey eyes had a daughter with this light blonde colour but with brown eyes and I also knew a Basque girl with parents from Extremadura who had this colour but it does look odd.

My father got it from YourdnaPortal Blond Hair and Blue Eyes, Blond Hair, Blond Hair, Lighter Hair I didn't get it in YourdnaPortal but I checked the snp's in Sequencing and they appear but unlike my father who gets frequency numbering they appear unnumbered to me.

According to oral family tradition E-FT155550 comes from a deserter of Napoleon's troops (1808-1813) who stayed in Spain and changed his surname.

In populations where red hair is very common, this is very difficult for the very light or platinum blond type to be quite frequent. The same obviously for populations which have very high frequency for very dark hair. Platinum blonde is only common in strongly blond nations. For example in the northern German population 3% to 5% are light blonde.

    Example: Will Hughes ( England)

These are the countries which have over 10% light blondes:

    1) Sweden
    2) Finland
    3) Norway
    4) Iceland
    5) Denmark
    6) Estonia
    7) Latvia

The northern Netherlands is not blonder than northern Germany. These areas are pretty similar. Areas such Norway, Faroes Isles, Scotland, England show a stronger reflect of the golden shades in their blondness due to a higher content of a rufous component in their blondness. The lighter blond shades without a rufous get more common in the north and east of the Baltic.
