That business about composting human remains is grotesque, but it shouldn't be taken out of context. Compostable Human Burials (in California) can only be done with the approval of the relatives or those legally assigned to the burial service. Basically the relatives need to seek out and apply to a burial service that provides the so-called compostable burial. California approved it on behalf of the burial service cottage-industries that seek to exploit the business opportunity, similar to what's being done for the legalization of marijuana.
