As a Southerner I believe that most of the problems we face in the USA (and The West) are due to the Yankee Liberal Stupidity Spiral (that started in 1620 with the Puritans) combined with capitalist greed. The emptiness of people is primarily due a disconnectivity with “being” . When people moved away from the land and into the pods (cities and suburbs) , they became nothing but mere units of production and consumption. You are against Capitalist greed but are anti-communist, yeah, makes perfect sense especially when we live in an era where God is dead largely because science has shown religion to be literally false; when in order to be useful religion has to be literally believed.

Also, history goes forward not backwards you can't go back to some idealized agrarian past in 21st century and be a competitive nation.
