How easy (or difficult) is it to discern if someone is transgender (MTF and FTM) ?

It's scary hard to tell now. You used to be able to tell from their face alone. Now they've got Adam's Apple shaving, all sorts of things they do to their faces, implants, lifts. Once someone has that "too much plastic surgery" look you can't even tell what gender they are.

Skull size, small height, small ribcage, large hips, no Adam's apple, gay voice. Women often have longer index fingers than ring fingers.

However, FTM will usually always pass better than MTF because women naturally are just deficient males. It's much harder for men to make themselves pass as women the same way it would be for a grown man to pass as a child.



Black/Asian MTF pass easily since Asian men are feminine and can pass as women, and black women are masculine so it's easy and low effort for a negro male to resemble one. White and brown MTF trannies on the other hand will NEVER pass.




And yet, FTM have the highest detrans rate. Maybe because there's more, or maybe because they live long enough to have their ovaries atrophy from testosterone. FTM don't kill themselves nearly as often, they tend to become (damaged) women again.

I think it’s easier to tell MTF than FTM because testosterone does a lot more to the body.

Normally, I have been able to tell just by voice and facial proportions.

I’m 181 and a bit robust for a woman, so I’ve been asked by pics alone am I trans. I don’t take offense to it because I don’t care. I know what I am. I feel like my mannerisms and voice say I’m female, but why would I worry about passing when I just am one. Only trans people care about passing.

Imo, its often harder to detect a F to M than a M to F. Mostly because females today have become too masculinized already by wearing trousers and being in the work place , they can more easily pass as male.

It depends on the person, but ethnicity and genes play big roles in determining who's passing. I've been fooled by more than one Thai lady boy, but Tyrone, from the 'hood, couldn't fool Stevie Wonder.
