I'm going to budapest with some lads and I am wondering what should we do there? Any cool bars, clubs, tourist attractions, good food places etc.? What should 5 single lads do there? Are women there friendly or hostile to tourists?

Dont go to touristy ripoff fake ruin bars and shitty bar crawls led by some 24/7 drunk briish guy whos spending his last days in Budapest before going homeless. Ill recommend some stuff later but this is the most important by far
Ah, also dont buy drugs from random gypsies going at you like hey wana boy kokaina? Well let me state the obvious they sell some random white powder thats all. Buy and validate your tickets when it comes to public transport.

    ^ this

And leave Budapest for non crappy tourist foods.

Check out malls, there is one called westend where you have a train station right next to it, so you can visit other cities.

When you enter to shops mention that you're Romanian.

    I think:

    1. Visit the tourist places like Parlament, Buda Castle, Fisherman's Bastion, Vajdahunyad Castle, Heroes' Square etc
    2. If the climate is too hot then visit the Szechenyi Thermal Bath.
    3. At night, go to the party district in the downtown (5.)

Budapest is hell in the summer, incredibly hot and humid and also packed with tourists. You chose a very bad season for a visit.

Spend as much time in the baths as possible, they are fantastic and will provide much needed cooling. You have pool parties too with DJs and stuff in the night.

This is a incredible city with so much to see and do you could spend years there exploring it but I wouldn't want to be caught dead in Budapest in the summer.

    My two cents.

I recommend Margaret Island too. Fantastic place in the Danube, full with forest and recreation options, shadow, pools, fun in the evening too, live music etc

It's basically a Budapest Central Park.

Varosliget is very cool too plus it's close to Heroes Square (another park with a cute Hunedoara Castle mini replica) but Margaret Island is better IMO.

Its the district 5,6,7. but relative. The centre of party district is the Király street what is located in 6.

Take the old metro line no. 1 to the Heroes Square. It is oldest metro line in Continental Europe. There you can sightsee and relax around Varosliget and than you can go on foot down the Szechenyi Bulevard to central Pest, it is filled with some of nicest villas and urban houses in Pest.
