Thread dedicated to Rave music and culture from late 80's/early 90's, especially from UK and Belgium where Rave culture was most developed, and from where most of legendary Rave tracks originate. In my opinion this particular era is one of the most interesting in recent music history, in this time originated legendary groups like The Prodigy and Orbital.

I listened to Prodigy before the "Fat of the land" hype, since like 6 yrs old, as my elder sis still lived with us and I listened everything she used to listen back then

For me "The Fat of the Land" is the last good album from them, I don't really like their more new stuff, their second "Music for the Jilted Generation" album in my opinion is the best one, and the track "No One" from this album is my favorite The Prodigy track in general.

Rave culture was pretty developed in New York and California too.

Maybe later, initially Rave culture started in UK in 1987 when music from Chicago and Detroit started to spread here, first in Manchester and later in London, and had a very big impact not only in UK, but in other countrie too, like Belgium, Germany, France and Italy. This is the reason why some of US producers were very popular in Europe, and mostly unknown in US. Best example is Joey Beltram with his hits "Energy Flash" and "Mentasm".
