Skin undertones.. Here is how you figure out yours.

There is skin tone which is the upper layer of your skin tone, then there is undertone.

The three undertones are Warm, Cool, Neutral, and there is olive.
Here is how you figure out yours.. Every race can be warm or cool.

"When the undertone is warm, the skin takes on a yellow/golden background and is easily tanned in the sun.

When the skin undertone is cool, it has a pinkish background, it becomes red easily and does not tan in the sun or tan very little.

A neutral undertone is located between the two. It tends to harmonize with warm colors and cool colors as well as silver and gold accessories.

An olive undertone also harmonizes with warm and cool colors, but the skin takes on a slightly greenish background."

Interestingly a lot of scandinavians has warm undertones

yet a med with darker skin can have cool undertones

There is fours types of colours differentiated by names of each season.

I had that done professionally years ago when it was all the rage. I was classified as Spring.

I have a cool or neutral tone leaning to cool. After several sessions with sun screen I get a nice tan (without sunscreen I get red and eventually tan). Got classified as winter while getting make up.

The color of the veins is also an indicator: cool tones have violet veins, while warm tones are green.
