Prepare for everything to be more expensive. Slovaks atleast now dont need to exchange when they go to Croatia.

Croatian currency is connected to Euro (and Deutsche Mark before) since 30 years.

This isn't a bad move tbh, we will get better interest rate in loans and make country more attractive for foreigners and foreign investment.
If Croatia ever had own monetary policy I'd be against, but it never had so this move makes sense.

I'm more interested in joining Schengen tho, it should be also on January 1 2023 but it is not confirmed yet.

Okay, how much does Croatia export and how much import? Cuz when your country still imports much then impplying Euro is not the best idea.
And as some before said the prices will be higher as they will have to get closerto Eurozone standard, people will want to have higher salaries and when you rise salary more than you as a country can earn it may end up with higher inflation.

All European states' economies are connected with Euro but while you are part of Eurozone you won't be able to hold action when in trouble on your own. You can see result of this in Baltic States. Even tho we would have to join Eurozone sooner or later this decision could wait a few years.

We don't know how this will end up but it doesn't look optimistic so to say, but it can be as you say and joining Eurozone won't really affect Croatian progress

Not really. Princes are already on Euro level and transactions in Croatia are done in Euros for years.

people will want to have higher salaries and when you rise salary more than you as a country can earn it may end up with higher inflation.
Salaries already grew and inflation is high, and especially due to that joining much larger zone is necessary.
    as of today

989 EUR is current average salary

I didn't mean that. Croatian currency is pegged to Euro for decades and exists only on paper. But we can't be enough competitive or get affordable loans because we officially didn't have Euro, until now.

you won't be able to hold action when in trouble on your own.
We never could. Croatia isn't Hungary and never had fiscal independence but always strictly followed ECB, thus adopting Euro is only logical solution.

You can see result of this in Baltic States. Even tho we would have to join Eurozone sooner or later this decision could wait a few years.
You have a nationalistic government that's often not in line with Brussels so I doubt you will.

Yes, it will make it better and make faster progress. I want as deep integration as possible and more and more money taken from EU.
We had enough being bottom of EU.

Croatia is a small country, some autonomy is a pipe dream I already saw in case of Hungary what it means when EU closes the pipe.
Few years ago Hungary was much better place than Croatia is and in last two years situation reversed.

Croatia is finally going forward, I'm rather satisfied.

RIP to your monetary and economic independence. One more colony of French-German imperialism.

Uneducated nonsense. Croatia never had any of these two. And since it doesn't, it will make much greater profit while being in the club itself.

This shouldn't be decided without referendum.
