Their continental admixture is a bit suss as it makes me more mixed than average but I don't think there is anything in genetics to back that up. Not complaining though.

Their ancestry report is quite accurate for me at least.

Does that smattering of Scandi come up in your 23andMe results also?

I had some in an older result but now I'm 100% British and Irish. The same with Ancestry when I first tested it had a few more trace regions but I've lost these with updates. It is in my FTDNA results.

DNA tests anyway are based on panels with people that have long term ancestry in a country so they will depend on how well you match their panel. I have no known outside ancestry other than Irish and that is based on a paper trail going back to the late 1700s. I don't believe dna tests go back more than a few generations. Some companies just do not have enough samples from certain populations and some countries really need to be split into different geographic regions. DNA testing is quite accurate but still an imperfect science.

The ancestral breakdown in the pay results seems absolutely reasonable.

I was more fascinated by the free and hilarious continental admixture.

Ah yes, I lost some Scandi % with the updates as well, thanks for confirming I wasn't the only one.

Yeah, I think that part is only backed up by one 'scientific' study , hence, the problem. Fortunately, there is a lot more to the paid version than I posted so I just ignore the former.
