Default A second wave of Russians is fleeing Putin’s regime

A massive brain drain is happening.
If it's true, on the long run it's worst than the high casuality and the ban impose on russia.

500,000 left, but in the article it is silent that 80% have already returned.))) Hmmm, people have become smaller now! Our grandfathers, who fought for our future, did not try to escape "over the hill", but rebuilt their country sparing no effort and time. And now those who think about their pocket and how to fill their stomachs with foie gras and lobsters are running!
Plus, for some reason, the number of returned emigrants from previous waves (since 1991) is not indicated, and their number is huge.

In general, the oligarchy and its servants are leaving (mostly status consumption and the (vulgar) entertainment industry, including this 37-year-old IT man who wrote software for expensive restaurants), if you clean or simply cut more officials, add another 500 thousand and it will become easier to breathe in the country. Those 5% of the population who supported the liberals and somehow feed on corruption, and most of them are applicants for Israeli citizenship. It turns out that the country is being cleared of those who, after the revolution, came from Poland, Pales of Settlement and who are not indigenous. But they have always occupied advantageous places either in the Party / Komsomol or in officials / deputies now. Nobody needs them here. The only desire is to let them not forget to withdraw their citizenship, as under Brezhnev.
Chubais left - everyone who worked under him will go too.

I'll make a post that is far more sensible than the one the Russkie made above.

I'm very suspicious. This was stated:

There is no concrete data on the number of Russians who have left the country since the start of the war. However, one Russian economist put the total at 200,000 as of mid-March.

That figure is likely to be far higher now, according to Batalova, as tens of thousands of Russians have relocated to Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Israel, the Baltic states and beyond.
That's is a very large number in such a short period of time. The war started in late February and all these people (200,000) just happen to get all their shit in order to move to foreign nations by mid-March because of the conflict? It's not that simple. If I wanted to move to Mexico I wouldn't be able to get all the paperwork ready in a couple of weeks.

The claim comes from this twitter account:

    https://twitter.com/k_sonin/status/1...urope-60697763

    The original post:

Armenian gov't gave a number of 80K there; Tbilisi mayor said 20-25K there. There were more flights to Istanbul than to Erevan each day, and on larger planes. Plus Tel Aviv, Almaty, Bishkek + tiny, but constant stream via Estonia, Latvia, and Finland. So, 200K is a lower bound.
The dude claims it's higher than 200,000. The article couldn't even get what he wrote correctly and probably intentionally because the actual claim sounds even more absurd.

Here he is on March 14th making claims that the Russian economy would have a major financial crisis because of sanctions. That hasn't happened.

So my conclusion: the dude is a tool and when you look at his twitter posts you understand why.
