The good news is that there were "slave breakers" who could adjust his attitude and convince him to be a good and hardworking slave. I'm sure Meade would consider them to be fine upstanding tradesmen, so he wouldn't object to it happening to him...rather benevolent in the long run.

That is one of the reasons the "Slaveowners had to treat slaves well so they could work hard" breaks down. It is more like owning a workhorse than a laptop. I was actually diagnosed as having HFA (high functioning autism). Most people do not know I have anything wrong. No one says anything where I work.
