It was definitely wrong that the German Empire invaded the Czech inhabited lands. And from that point of view every surpression, also a modest one, was wrong too.

But did you know?:

- that the complete Czech adminsitration was let essentially untouched by the German Empire and that even socialdemocrats were not persecuted but could stay in administrative power, hence it was politically more free than within the German Empire itself?

- that the Germans did not have any occupation troops or police in the Czech lands, just a small number of folks in the administration above the Czech?

- that the Czech men had it better than the German men in that respect as they got fully German food rations and did not get drafted into any army? In contrast to this Sudet German men - considering the ultimate death rate in the Wehrmacht of 29% - got a 29% death sentence by the German Empire.

- that the Allied were very uncertain about on which side the Czechs at all were in this war? And that this question was not easy to answer? When they saw how the Czech lands worked within the Third Reich it looked somewhat Austria-like. And just consider that the Czech lands had just been separated from German statehood for 20 years (1919-1939) and before that were basically within a German statehood for 1000 years, even being somewhat central and important lands.

- that the Brits did not find any suitable Czechs in Czechia for carrying out a murder on the Reichsprotektor Heydrich and thus even had to fly exile Czechs to Czechia for that purpose? This murder was a British organised action and Czechs in Czechia were not part of it.

- that Heydrich had driven (regularly) his car alone and without any body guards within the Czech lands? (implying a relaxed relationship to Czechs that not even Merkel had with Germans in Germany)

- that after the attack on Heydrich the Czech police did persecute the murderers and the Germans did not even see any need to get involved? (The later Lidice idioty was initiated from outside upset SS folks that - wrongly and perfectly going into that British initiated trap to get a conflict between Germans and Czechs - blamed other Czechs for that assault and wanted to make a "revenge". It was simply just a pseudo revenge as not just no Lidice people but also no Czechs in Czechia had supported that assault.)

- that most thoughtful Czechs were very likely aware of that they had a living not just better than most other occupied countries, but even better than Germans, including Sudet Germans?

- that the Czech lands were among the most valuable and well working parts of the German Empire in the aspect of weapons and war utilities and that it had to be essentially ZERO monitored by Germans?

- that the Czech mine workers without presence of Germans went to work for the Thrid Reich till the last day before the Russians came?

- that most Germans considered the Czech lands as a friendly and safe haven and that millions of German civilians (women, children and old men) from Silesia chosed to take refuge in the Czech lands and stayed there as they did not consider any other part of the German Empire better?

- that it were only the known attacks etc. on German civilians by Czechs after 8th of May 1945 that convinced other people that Czechs had not been on the side of the Axis powers?

Is it possible that the Czechs essentially in fact were on the German side, but because of the political organisation of the Protectorate never had to declare themselves and eventually got into an ambigous situation that left open the option to very late chose on who's side you had "been"?

Dinara četnik division commited numerous massacres and war crimes.

Protecting own village is easy excuse because we can say same for Ustasha many of whom come from rural regions impacted with violence after Serb rebellion started after NDH was proclaimed.

Memebers of Black Legion for example were in great number muslim youth of eastern Bosnia whose families were massacred by Četniks and they wanted to get even.
