Maybe a sombrero. Not sure how the rest of the world does this sun stuff.

    How's everyone coping?

Eating light, taking showers, some sea swimming, hoping it will soon end.

Makes me appreciate why countries have outdoor shutters on their windows now.

I recently came home with 4 ice creams.

34ºC right now, and compared to the previous days when we were at 40ºC it is much better.

It is not uncommon to reach 40ºC here for a day or two in summer, but 7 days in a row is unbearable.

At night we open all the windows, and in the morning when it starts to get hot, the windows are closed and all the blinds are lowered, leaving the house in a semi-darkness.

Drink a lot of cold water, eat light things like salads and move little.

Avoid the sun in the street.
Use an air conditioning system at home.

That is the main difference with Britain, air conditioning. Nobody has it.

With average temperatures rising we might have to learn from others. I doubt we were ready for those grass fires too.
