Default Pristina’s goal is exile of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija – Serbian official

BELGRADE, August 1. /TASS/. The goal of authorities of unrecognized Kosovo is to drive the Serbian population from Kosovo and Metohija, said Petar Petkovic, the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija under the Serbian Government.

"Actions [of Prime Minister of unrecognized Kosovo] Albin Kurti are aimed directly against Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija and their objective is to drive Serbian people and Serbian institutions from Kosovo and Metohija," Petkovic said. Belgrade will continue issuing documents of the Republic of Serbia to all citizens from Kosovo and Metohija, he added.

The situation in Kosovo and Metohija deteriorated dramatically on Sunday evening after Kosovo’s police had closed the checkpoint at the border with Serbia. In response, Serbs in the north of Kosovo took to the streets and blocked key highways. Police and the Kosovo Force (KFOR), a NATO-led international peacekeeping force in Kosovo, were pulled to the bridge across the Ibar River, which links Kosovska Mitrovica’s northern and southern parts.

In his address to the nation, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said earlier that the situation for ethnic Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija has aggravated after Pristina had decided to ban Serbian documents starting from midnight from Sunday to Monday. The Cabinet of Kosovo postponed the decision later for one month until September 1, 2022.

Kosovo is clearly Serbia under international law and has always been Serbia, it was conquered and taken away by military force in violation of international law. Sure, most of them are Albanians, but there are also parts of the USA where most Mexicans are, such as California or parts of Texas, should they now become independent or part of Mexico? To be honest, I think that Serbia should be on good terms with Kosovo, as far as possible trade, open borders, etc. no dispute and also the Albanians accept that they live there, but I'm not sure if one should officially recognize Kosovo, there must be a clause that violates international law, otherwise you are endorsing arbitrary military violence against your own people. That's why I'm not sure if you should recognize Kosovo under international law, because then the breaking of the law and the violence against Serbia is justified, but you should de facto recognize Kosovo and the reality that most of them are Albanians and want to be independent.

Serbs in Mitrovica don't pay any taxes, they have their own part of city which is protected by NATO and America. Several years ago a Serb sniper killed an Albanian policeman across the bridge, yet the police couldnt even go search for the murderer.
In fact Serbs in Kosovo have better rights then most of Albanians and are overprotected as hell.

Kosovo Prime Minister is just doing everything that Serbs are doing since Kosovo was created.
Serbs dont aknowledge our licensce plate, why should Kosovo aknowledge Serbs one then?
Everything that Kurti is doing is called Reciprocitation, so if Serbs don't like it, then it's ironic.

Kosovo and other parts of Serbia will be forver Albanian, whether Serbs like it or not. They have Belgrade, or they can go back the route they came from in 6th century or to their mother Russia.
In fact first when Serbs settled Balkans was in todays Croatian / BiH border, later on they came into Dardania/Kosovo.

Claiming a region which they are not native to
Claming a region which their own population doesn't exceed over 6%
If Serbs want to claim Kosovo because of their time they had kingdom there, then in that case this is list of nations they can do it too.
Ottomans - Turks - Bulgarians - Dacians / Romanians, Romans / Italians, Macedonians / Greeks etc etc.

Claiming a region because of churches is like American claiming whole Europe because they have McDonalds around, go build your churches to Belgrade. Everyone in Balkans including Bosniaks and Croats and Albos know that Serbs always used their Church to gain power, Church was always their tool to rewrite history and claim things. Most of Serbian churches were build in Kosovo in 20th century, many of thems were build where Albanians were overrepresented, only to show them that "its their place" how pathethic. Especially the church build in middle of Albanian campuses/unis, the most hilarious thing I've ever seen of a desperation.
Check the remaining population of Serbs in Kosovo, almost every sign of Serbs in Kosovo live around or above mines, literally the biggest mark of Serbs are in Mitrovica, wonder why? TREPCA MINES

Serb politicians don't care about your churches and population all they care is Kosovo's ability to remain 600 year free from foreign support of energy. Whole Kosovo is covered with coal. It has rescources of minerals compared to other world superpowers.

We are going to believe Serb sources that claim Albanians in Kosovo were encouraged by Ottomans to settle, while the Serbs supported the Austrians, when literally all the historical evidence shows it was the opposite:

It was in reaction to the revival of the old exaggerated claims about the 'Velika Seoba' - including a programme on Belgrade television which stated that 400,000 Serbs had left Kosovo in 1690 - that the Kosovar historian Skender Rizaj published the first explicit attack, from an Albanian point of view, om the Serb historiography of these events: while accepting that some Serbs did support the Austrians, he argued that the majority of Piccolominis 20,000 volunteers were Albanian And although the detailed breakdown of that total which he gave seems to have been speculative , his argument was based on a larger knowledge of the ethnic and demographic situation in 17th century Kosovo, derived from Ottoman sources. Overall the position adopted by Rizaj seems to have been substantially correct
    - Noel Malcolm

Most of this Kosovo thing rests on nothing but false history thanks to widespread aggressive Serbo-Chetnik propaganda.

What is true is that they ruled Kosovo for about 250 years, until the final Ottoman takeover in the mid-15th century. Churches and monasteries remain from that period, but there is no more continuity between the medieval Serbian state and today's Serbia than there is between the Byzantine Empire and Greece.

Kosovo remained Ottoman territory until it was conquered by Serbian forces in 1912. Serbs would say "liberated"; but even their own estimates put the Orthodox Serb population at less than 25%. The majority population was Albanian, and did not welcome Serb rule, so "conquered" seems the right word.

But legally, Kosovo was not incorporated into the Serbian kingdom in 1912; it remained occupied territory until some time after 1918. Then, finally, it was incorporated, not into a Serbian state, but into a Yugoslav one. And with one big interruption (the second world war) it remained part of some sort of Yugoslav state until June 2006.

We had enough of these people and their propaganda.

For most of it's history, they only ruled it for 250 years, yet claim it has always been Serb
Claim Albanians came there after 1690 after their so called 'Great Exodus' which has already been debunked by some historians.

Serbo-Chetnik propaganda that contribute Albanian demographic growth in Kosovo as a result of constant ''mass immigration'' , despite Albania's population until late Ottoman period was much smaller than Kosovo's population and it's rate of growth was higher than Kosovo.

Should just build a wall around these Serbo-Chetniks, they migrated to the Balkans, now we have to deal with them.

They are butthurt over some license plates and ID card

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...serbian-border

Yet they did the same thing to us Kosovars. Should just make a land swamp, give them the northern part we take Preshevo. Then we build a huge wall around them.

Once and for all get rid of these people as they are nothing but a liability.

Islamics going potty over number plates and harassing Serbs --- good move... not.

Greece, Spain, Romania and Slovakia will block every move the EU makes - never forget that.

A Bulgarian journalist 13-14 years ago made a film about Kosovo... the tension was simmering, this year she was in Kosovo in May and it was even more tense. For example, she says, for Easter in Pristina there was not a kilogram of lamb /in the Balkans, lamb meat is traditional for the Easter table/ because most of the butchers are run by non-Serbs and as if they did not want the Christians to have anything to celebrate with (which before the war they never it was like that) Another example - when she was there, she saw how they put a river in a trough for the Muslim quarter and there it was made nice, wide, concrete, and in the Christian Serbian it is put in a pipe, which under certain circumstances easily cracks and the water covers the whole neighborhood, makes a flood and no one and nothing can help. Let me briefly remind you: the Metohija district in Kosovo is the Serbian Jerusalem. 145 Christian churches were set on fire in Kosovo, the film clearly shows how one of the largest libraries of Christian, Orthodox literature from the 13th and 14th centuries (over 6,000 volumes) was set on fire with KFOR generator oil, actually the NATO forces that they "allegedly" protect the civilian population. The first new martyr, a priest, found with a severed head was actually of Bulgarian origin... In general... things are almost like in Ukraine. The film also shows a Christian cemetery "..actually we were driving past it and I barely noticed it. I jumped in...and it turned out that these Christian cemeteries are bought by the Kosovar-Albanians and they dig them up and build entertainment centers on top. The filmed cemetery is one of the latter. It's not about those outside the cities, it's about those who are "indigenous" in the big cities of Serbs...and more and more...much to my dismay. I have many Serbian and many Kosovar friends, many Albanian friends and I love them all" This is what the Bulgarian journalist says
...Even if a man lives well, he dies and another one comes into existence. Let the one who comes later upon seeing this inscription remember the one who had made it. And the name is Omurtag, Kanasubigi.
