IMHO, the list would be something like: Austria, Switzerland/Netherlands, Luxembourg, Denmark, Belgium, France/Czechia, Poland.

There are big difference between regions of Germany itself, no one will be closer to Rhinelanders than Dutch people, no one will be closer to Bavarians than Austrians, but Dutch and Bavarians are not alike. Ofc all Germanic countries to some degree will be close, the rest not really

Frisians will be more similar to Dutch and Danes, Bavarians the most similar to Austrians, On the border to Poland they might be more similar to Poles even if that is not popular opinion for some because I see most rank Poland so low.
