The only thing, they must be supervised because they can calculate immediate and short term consequences of their actions but they cant calculate long term consequences.

That's a fair point, and people don't realize that. They can complete sixth-grade level work, which seems to be a higher level of education than the people, in those man-on-the-street knowledge quizzes, have.

IQ is only somewhat useful. I personally don't like when it's used on children.
For instance, if I'm interested I can solve the most difficult maths problems, and my teachers know this, they would NOT call me stupid so this is not the issue, but when I'm not interested they plummet.

I suppose, for political reasons, most people have to make it to college, otherwise there would be a crisis, which the West can't afford.

I personally wouldn't say that (western) whites are less stupid than blacks. Whites just use other means to get into the more prestigious schools.

How good though? What serious actor uses it to a large extent? For instance, medication can alter your cognitive capacity for better or for worse.
And most people do not use substances to alter their cognition (except for stimulants). Most healthy persons haven't tried a variety of SSRIs, SNRIs, antipsychotics etc. so you can't say IQ is coherent.
Many things change in a persons life. Coming from, let's say, an immigrant family makes you less familiar with the society you're living in, leading to more misunderstandings. This would obviously look "low IQ".

Let me give you an example that is somewhat common in Sweden and "successful" people's life:
In the families where people are highly educated, having earned at least bachelor + master's degree in a scientific area, they think that because of all the hard work that have put into school, at that age, that it would pay off in the long run and that they wouldn't have to work as hard in the future.
At this point, when they come to a realization that they will have to work as hard as everyone else, their bubble bursts.
I suppose it all was a fantasy.
If they can't handle it they become depressed and get some sort of paid leave.

Would a logical, intelligent person make this BIG mistake when they could've just asked a bunch of people on how it is to work as an engineer, physician etc.?
I would say that this level of denial is in line with mental illness, they just happen to be lucky and on the top.

IQ tests aren't perfect, and many factors affect scores. Still, they're a fairly good indicator of many forms of intelligence, all things being equal, but they still tend to be clay for political and social sculptors of all types.

That very well could be, but she had one of the lowest entrance exam scores too (they chose the highest scorers and the lowest scorers as test subjects). Of course, your theory could apply to her exam score too.
