In Japan there is xenophobia against Westerners?

It exists, but not to the extent of how much it exists against Africans or even many Asian groups.

It is true, I see that the Japanese have more xenophobic attitudes towards other Asians such as Chinese and Koreans than towards Westerners.

They do fetichize white people to some degree but in the end they don't mingle.

Some places don't allow westerners to enter, some westerners can receive racist shouts on the street (akin to "Go Home" or "You're not welcome here") and some guys had bad experiences with Yakuza (for example, going to places run by the Yakuza and falling into traps like to pay 10 times more the value or intead meeting with a escort girl, just get cornered by 3 or 4 guys who will get all money).

Overall speaking, Japanese people doesn't have any negative bias against Arabs as I know. Specially Gulf Arabs.

Edit: Australians overall have a image being "bad tourists" in Japan.
